Honey, a concentrate of energy

Honey is a very popular food for athletes, before training to naturally boost their performance, but also during exercise to give them strength, and after for faster recovery. Logical: honey is above all 80% sugars, mostly simple (glucose and fructose).

Unlike compound sugars such as cane sugar, they are assimilated directly by the body, without digestion and without the intervention of insulin. This helps not to tire the liver and pancreas. Be careful, this does not mean that it is recommended for diabetics, you should always seek the advice of your doctor and turn to honeys with a high fructose content such as acacia

miel bienfaits

It contains between 15 and 20% water, depending on its floral origin as well as various substances: amino acids, enzymes, proteins, pigments, minerals (iron, potassium, magnesium, copper, calcium, phosphorus...), vitamins (A , C, B1, B2, PP).

In total there are more than 200 different substances in a spoonful of honey.

A perfect cocktail to start the day off right!
